A masterpiece Reviewer: David Capparelli Florida Review: You think the CD is good, you need to see him live. An excellent spread of songs. Similar, but yet very different. Keeps a listner entertained. Use the random mode on your CD player with some JT at your next party and see how people will be amazed. Where is the sequel?
Wow! Reviewer: Christopher Sherry Kildare, Ireland Review: I was recommended this CD from a fellow JT fan, (James Taylor not Justin Timberlake), and i managed to persuade Bill to send me a copy, across the Atlantic to Ireland. My initial thoughts on the album was wow, cool, excellent voice, lyrics and guitar playing. I had only heard a few seconds of the samples on the web before the first listen but i gotta say i couldn't turn the thing off once i'd pressed the play button, it had well and truly grabbed me!!!! Favourite songs initially were 'For this Day' & 'When'. As i listened to this album again and again other songs seemed to sneak up on me and i found myself singing them in the car, shower, work, everywhere!!!! 'Out in the moonlight' 'Loves seen it all' and 'Here i am' were the ones getting the battering, i'm the only guy i know who can sing in several different key's at once, all the wrong ones!!! A real surprise on this album is the backing vocals of Mary Huckins on 'Move on' the girl can sing!!! All in all it's a really really good album, from a really talented guy. The music lyrics & production on this album is top drawer and i'd have no hesitations in recommending it!!
A Bit of Heaven to my Ears. Reviewer: Jan Bell Florida Review: Fortunately, I "found" Bill Griese's name by visiting the James Taylor website where someone had recommended Bill Griese's music, and said his voice is similar to JT. Since I'm a lover of all kinds of music, and being such a James Taylor fan, I decided, without even listening to his music first, to order a CD. What a great decision that was; I can't stop listening to this man! His voice is so soothing and his lyrics are phenomenal. His guitar playing - that I'd really love to see! If only I lived in CO and could visit the venues he plays. I think I'd be a "Bill Griese groupie"!!! Please give him a try; you will, as I do, want him to begin his 2nd album so you can be entertained by more of his music.
High quality for a locally-made CD Reviewer: Kevin Mitts Kansas Review: Bill Griese's CD 'For this Day' is an excellent mix of good songwriting, warm vocals and high-quality musicians and producing. It's very unusual to hear such professional quality from a locally-made CD. These songs are obviously written from the heart and each tells a good story. Bill's singing is warm and subtle and has qualities along the lines of David Wilcox but with a larger vocal depth and a bit of a country flair. The musicians have done a great job filling in the voids and strengthening the songs while remaining in the background. The producing and mixing is excellent - ensuring that we hear every word while also hearing every note...not an easy job at all! One other note, my 6-year old daughter absolutely loves this CD and knows the words to most of the songs! I try to support local artists when I can. With Bill Griese it was easy and...he won't be a local artist long. I expect to find a Bill Griese CD in the nearest Best Buy within the next few years.
For This Day – And every other day as well. Reviewer: David Kearns Boston Review: Bill Griese has put together a crisp clean CD that harkens back to the likes of Jim Croche. There is wit and depth in his lyrics and kaleidoscopic variance in the CD keeps it fresh even after listening to it daily. For the Latin and guitar enthusiasts, "An Understanding" is one of the few songs I will rewind and listen to twice. For the more peaceful, "Love's seen it all" travels through all of the love feelings. Perhaps the only song I am tempted to skip on the CD is "True Believers". I am never disappointed when this CD is in the stereo. Unless Opera or speed metal is your shtick, this CD belongs in your collection.
